Bachelor of Arts in Legal Management (LM) is an interdisciplinary degree program with a law-focused program that is integrated with essential aspects of business management. The aim of the programme is to develop the study of law within the framework of business management. Its ultimate goal is to make students leaders and managers of the twenty-first century, with knowledge of management principles and business laws for good governance and aligned with the globalized business environment. The courses in the programme are designed to provide students with an appropriate knowledge of laws and business principles and to enable them to develop ethical and legally sound business solutions or strategies in the service of the local and global community. Legal management is primarily designed as an entrepreneurial program that gives students both the theoretical and practical tools to effectively run a business. Legal subjects can give LM graduates a competitive advantage in the increasingly legalistic business environment. The BS Management, Major in Legal Management, or LM, program is designed to create managers and entrepreneurs with functional knowledge of the legal environment in which all companies must operate. In addition to the regular business degree program, a legal program is added that covers all the important components of law that occur in business management: taxation, labor law, corporate and corporate law, intellectual property rights. The Legal Management program is an interdisciplinary approach to the study of economics, management, law, and society. It imparts knowledge and skills in the legal components and legal intricacies of the business environment. The aim of this multifaceted programme is to develop the study of law in a business setting and to explore the myriad of possibilities in which law is linked to other management disciplines relevant to an understanding of contemporary economics and society. The course is not designed to prepare for law school, but it has nevertheless proven to be an excellent pre-law program. It may be particularly suitable for students who are considering a career in law, but are not sure if it is for them.
Exposure to undergraduate legal topics can help these students make a final decision about their willingness and interest in practicing the legal profession.
