Allan Gibb, Professor Emeritus from Durham University
Allan Gibb has worked extensively in the field of entrepreneurship and independent business development in over 70 countries throughout the world. He has also worked with many international organisations including the World Bank, The ILO, UNIDO and the Soros Foundation. He has been an advisor to many governments including those of the UK, Canada, Malaysia and Nigeria as well as to the European Union.
His recent work has focused on entrepreneurship education at all levels of the education field. He has for several years been advisor to the UK National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship and has designed and directed national programmes for the HE and FE staff and University senior staff.
He is holder of The Queens Lifetime Achievement in Enterprise Award and was the first holder of the European Entrepreneurship Education Award in 2012. He has published numerous academic and business articles.
Björn Bjerke, Professor from Linnaeus University
Björn Bjerke has been working with entrepreneurship in theory and practice for about 30 years. He has been professor at two Swedish universities (Lund and Stockholm) and at two Swedish university colleges (Malmö and Kalmar since 2007). He has also worked at four universities outside Europe: University of Maiduguri, Nigeria; University of Waikato, New Zealand; King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia and National University of Singapore.
Björn Bjerke has been part of Europe-Asia link together with University of Lancaster to promote entrepreneurship teaching in Laos and China since 2005, paid by EU funds.
His research areas include entrepreneurship and culture, entrepreneurship in space and place, social entrepreneurship. He has published numerous articles and book chapters from the various topics in entrepreneurship theory and practice.
Darja Saar, Entrum Foundation CEO
Darja Saar is CEO of the Entrum Foundation and author of ENTRUM contest and programme. In the past she made brilliant international sport career as rythmic gymnast and member of national teams of Kazakhstan and Estonia. In 2008 she graduated at Tallinn University with social sciences master degree.
From 2009 to 2010 she was active as entrepreneur in the field of creative industries management and PR. Starting 2010 she dedicates all her energy, passion and skills to creating new generation of Estonians with entrepreneurial mindset, appropriative skills and network, as well international business ambitions. For the last three years she successfully leads national contest and development programme named ENTRUM giving chance to all young Estonians aged 13-19 around the country to get free entrepreneurial education and support to start their own success story.
In 2012 Darja was awarded as the most child friendly public person of the year by Estonian Union of Child Welfare and Estonian School Student Councils’ Union. In 2013 Darja was awarded by class III honour for outstanding contribution to the Youth entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial mindset promotion and development in Estonia.
